We currently blessed to have nine deacons. We hope this page will help you to get to know them.
Here are our deacons:
I was born in Vallejo, but raised in Redding, CA. I attended Grace Baptist Church and went to Liberty Christian High school. During the summer months I and my siblings worked at the Lassen Christian conference grounds. For the past 25 years I have been working for a large commercial equipment supplier for whom I travel for, to install and service this equipment. I am married to a wonderful woman named Cindy. We have seven children and 10 grandchildren. We are currently raising 3 of our grandchildren. We have attended FCC from the foundation and are committed to our church family. We look forward to watching FCC grow closer to Jesus. I am currently serving on the Prayer Team and am thankful to be selected as a deacon.
I was born in Indianapolis, Ind. and grew up as the older of two children in an Air Force family. We were being transferred constantly, even living in England for 3 years. I came to know the Lord while in recovery for alcoholism. My wife Ruth and I have attended Faith Community Church since its beginning and are blessed to be a part of this family. Ruth and I have lived in Vacaville since 1989. You might say we are refugees from the "89" earthquake, as we lived in Watsonville (just 10 miles from the epicenter) prior to moving here. I spent 45 years in retail and insurance before retiring in 2003. Blessed with a Godly wife and God centered church I am humbled at being selected by you to represent FCC as one of your Deacons. Serving the Lord is a blessing and a joy.
I was born and raised in Redding CA, and came to know the Lord at an early age. I currently live in Dixon, CA and work in Sacramento for UPS. My wife, Rachelle, and I have been attending Faith since 2003 along with our 2 daughters, Lauren and Emma. It is a joy and a privilege to serve the Lord in a church that is committed to giving all glory to God. We are blessed to be a part of this church.
I was born in Montevideo, Uruguay to American parents and moved to the U.S. in 1960. I graduated from Susquehanna University in Pennsylvania and have had a career in lending and auditing. I am currently an auditor for the State of California. My wife Patti and I have been married since 1981 and have 2 adult children, Lindsay and Jack. We have been Vacaville residents since 1990 and have attended Faith Community Church since its inception. We have been blessed to receive the Word in Bible-based fashion from our Pastor and Elders and Teachers. Patti and I currently serve on the Prayer Team. I am looking forward to serving our church family as a deacon.
I was raised in eastern North Carolina, the son of a Baptist minister. My parents were very dedicated to Godís work and our homelife reflected those values. I am an alumnus of Mount Olive Baptist College, and after completing my studies there I joined the Air Force, and spent the next seven years serving this great country of ours. By Godís grace I was saved in 1975, and met my wonderful wife Teleia, of 35 years while we were both on active duty at Travis Air Force Base. We are blessed to be the parents of four children, and grandparents of one grandson. After leaving the Air Force I worked in the federal government for the next 31 years until my retirement in 2008. During that period I served as a deacon for 18 years at Sovereign Grace Baptist Church here in Vacaville. When that work was finished we felt led by the Lord to become a part of the Faith Community family. It has been a privilege to sit under the teaching of our Pastor/Elders, and my wife and I look forward in serving in whatever capacity God might lead.
I was born and raised in Pacifica, CA and attended The Masterís College where I met my wonderful wife Katharine. We have been attending FCC since we moved to Vacaville in 2007. We now have two boys and love watching them grow in this great church. We are blessed to be a part of FCC and I look forward to serving as a deacon during this exciting time in our church.
I am a retired electrician for Solano Community College. I have lived in California most of my life and in Vacaville for the last 38 years. I came to know the Lord as my Savior in 1972, when I was 26 years old. I served at Trinity Baptist Church for over 35 years before God lead my wife, Mary and I here to Faith Community Church. All three of our adult children, Keith, Shannon, and Tiffani attend along with their wonderful families. We are blessed to be in fellowship together once again. The Lord has given me a desire to serve here at FCC. We are thankful for this church and the faithful members and the teaching/ preaching we hear every Sunday.
I was born in South Dakota, but spend most of my life in Montana and California. The Lord saved me in the late 1980ís using the faithful love and discipline of my parents to draw me to the Lord in faith through the work of Jesus Christ. I was baptized a year later to be obedient to Godís Word and publicly proclaim my new life in Christ. The Lord continues His sanctifying work in my life. In 2005, I married the love of my life, Monica. We moved from Montana to Vacaville in 2007 after accepting a local job offer as a sofeware engineer in automation and started attending Faith Community Church in 2008. The Lord has blessed us with two boys; Josiah and Ethan. I am thankful for the opportunity to serve the Lord as part of the body of Christ at FCC and look forward to being with Him one day.
I grew up in Colorado and moved to California in 1987. My wife Robin and I joined Granite Springs Church in Rocklin. As a child, I learned the value of honesty and moral integrityóbut held only a casual understanding of the magnitude of Jesus Christ. We have two incredible children, both involved with the churchís youth program, and while my journey with our Lord started late, I donít want the mistakes of how I was raised to fall on the shoulders of my children. We moved to Vacaville in 1996, and after attending different churches in the area we were drawn to Faith Community Church when it moved to Vacaville. Several years ago, as I prepared for neck surgery, the Lord called me to approach the greetersí ministry and offer to serve as a stand-in for a sweet wonderful lady who was scheduled for surgery on the same day. I continue to greet families as they arrive at FCC because thatís what our Lord wants. Iím humbled to stand with the fine men who already serve our church as its deacons, and honored to be one of these new men being asked to serve.
