The team has landed in Yangon. They had a time of Bible study, singing and dinner with the Bustles. Now off to sleep! Pastor Jon will be preaching from Hebrews 11 at church tomorrow.

Women of Myanmar – Today we were invited to the ladies’ meeting after church where we heard them work on their testimony and learn how to explain the Gospel. Love these women and their example of serving.

 

The morning was VIS Christian School chapel, followed by an outlining seminar with local church leaders.

 

Today was the beginning of the Preacher’s Academy and the Pastor’s Wives Conference. Bill also taught Fundamentals of the Faith to a group of teachers.

 

Day 4: Pastor’s Wives Conference yesterday was such a blessing for us to be a part of. Jon taught at the Preacher’s Academy and we had an opportunity to join a bible study group for some of the teachers at Victory International School.

 

Day 5: So many things to be thankful for… Day one of the Women of the Word Conference was a wonderful time in worship and the word and testimony. We also had the opportunity to go Silas Pahmung’s home and encourage them and pray for their family.

 

Preacher’s Academy starts each day with worship singing. Even though Jon and I don’t know the words, the passion of the men as they sing out is quite beautiful and moving. We have some new favorite songs from this trip. Khuppi is now preaching a message from Philippians 2: 5-11. Later the men will continue to learn how to outline various passages in Philippians. I am learning along with them!

 

Our trip is going well, though Karen came down with a head cold and snivels yesterday afternoon. She continues to struggle with it after a night’s rest. Special prayer for her would be appreciated. We seem to be going non-stop. We are all up at like 4-4:30am, meet at 6am for devotional time, breakfast at 6:30am, out of the place we are staying by 7am. We get back to where we are staying at around 8pm…and we are all in bed by 8:30pm and sound asleep. Spent..and being spent!

 

In this first part of the trip we have spent time with the Bustle children…they are so much fun! Went to Silas and Rebecca’s home yesterday to encourage them after our day of meetings. – Bill

 

Final day of our Women of the Word Conference. It was an amazing day of teaching on the gospel, testimony, worship, prayer and sweet fellowship with these women who love God. God is doing a work in Myanmar – Tiffany

 

What a great blessing to teach expository preaching through the book of Philippians to some wonderful men of God. Lots of learning and lots of fun too! – Jon

 

Yesterday we had the pleasure of teaching a Gospel Conference at 31st Baptist Church. They have such a great pastor Lal Ruat Kim, who welcomed us with such hospitality. The teaching, fellowship and food were such a blessing to us.

 

Staff Retreat for Expository Preaching & Training Society. We love these families are so thankful to be partners with them in ministry. Teaching, prayer, worship, food, games, swimming and more food 😍

 

The team has safely arrived home. Thank you all so much for your prayers.
