03/17/2020 – In light of the recent decision by the Elders to cautiously proceed with cancelling all worship services and ministries this week and possibly next week, we have decided to postpone our Women’s Conference scheduled on March 27-28. For those who have registered and paid, we will begin working on refunds ASAP. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we process these refunds. We have tentatively rescheduled the conference for October 23-24, 2020. May we continue to look to Christ and encourage one another to love and good deeds. – Tiffany Kile

Dear FCC,
We pray this finds you full of faith and trust in the Lord. He is in charge, and this is truly an excellent opportunity to shine His light brightly to those around us.
In light of everything that has been happening, we have again decided to not hold Sunday corporate worship (morning and evening), as well as any other formal smaller group church functions for the coming week of March 22-28. It looks like this might continue on for a few weeks, but we will take this a week at a time in case things change. Who knows what will happen as we seek the Lord and pray to Him about this?
Can we still be the church even if we can’t gather together formally? Absolutely! Our church has prepared for times just like this by building on the strong foundation of God’s Word, and by digging in deep roots that will sustain us through trial and trouble. Again, this is a great opportunity for us to shine His light brightly to the desperate souls around us. We are convinced that we will not only get through this, but that our church can flourish during this time, and to bring many souls into God’s Kingdom. Our encouragement to you is this: trust the Lord and use this to draw nearer to God yourself, and to also minister to others when possible. On Sunday, we will have a video of Jon’s next sermon from the book of Acts on the website.
Please note that while we aren’t having formal meetings, we are still working hard! If you need anything at all, please let us know. You can call the office at 707-451-2026 or any of the Elders. We love you and we want to minister to you as best we possibly can! As of now, the office is still open, but even if we have to close the office during the week, we will still be working from home every day. Please pray for us as we pray for you.
Some people have been asking about how to give during this time. Giving is a part of worship and an important part of us being able to minister effectively in Vacaville and throughout the world. Here’s how you can be faithful in your giving: mail in any offerings to the church, come by and bring it to the office (or else put it in the slot in the church lobby door), or else hold it and bring it when we gather together next, whenever that time will be. Thank you for your concern about this and your heart to worship the Lord in this way. We trust the Lord.
However long this lasts, we will continue to be God’s Church, and we will continue to lift Him high!  Think about what a great celebration and blessing it will be when we are able to all get together again on a Sunday morning in the future!  Can’t wait!  Until then, we continue to worship Christ as His bride and body.  Lord bless you!  We love you.

Please pass this along to anyone who may not see this here.

Dear FCC,

After much prayer and thought as the Elders of this wonderful church, we have decided to not hold Sunday corporate worship (morning and evening), as well as any other smaller group church functions for the week of March 15-21.  This includes faith groups, women’s Bible study, Senior Saints, men’s breakfast, or any other formal gathering.  It looks like this will continue through the end of the month of March, but we will take this a week at a time in case things change.

We have decided to take this measure for two reasons: 1) to reduce the transmission of COVID-19, and 2) to submit to governmental authorities. The governor has requested large group gatherings to be suspended until April (As stated, we will take it a week at a time in case things change).

For this Sunday, we will be posting some sermons on our website to encourage you to trust the Lord though this.  (www.vacavillefaith.org)  We aren’t panicking; we trust Him!  Please go to the website and listen.  If we don’t meet on the 22nd, we are working on a way to stream a live sermon from the book of Acts.  We will keep you informed!

Through it all, let us not forget the words of Paul:

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”  Phil. 4:6-7

And so we do our part as a responsible church, and at the same time we trust in God’s sovereignty through it all. So, pray, trust, read Scripture, encourage one another, and wash your hands.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact any of the elders at any time by phone or e mail.  We love you and look forward to seeing how God will use this to strengthen us, and bring others to Himself!

Please pass this along to others who you think might not see this.

In Christ,

The FCC Elders
